dc.description.abstract-translated | In his papers, author Ota Filip focuses on all main topics of his work - bilingual identity, autobiographical novels, the year 1968 and the so-called “Prague Spring”, Charter 77, exile authors, his own “Moravian” identity, the relation between fiction and reality, anti-heroes and anti-paternal novels. He elaborates on “Moravian” identity by naming famous authors of Moravian origin, both earlier and modern. The papers are followed by W. Schmitz’s study on the relation between Filip’s life and his novels of an autobiographical nature. Schmitz emphasizes the author’s ability to integrate into the German environment completely. He also discusses the topic of the author’s failure in the 1950s when serving in the Auxiliary Technical Battalion and its reflection in the media at the end of the 1990s, which led to the suicide of his son. | cs |
