Abstract in different language: This dissertation thesis is dedicated to the modelling of multibody systems that include flexible thin bodies such as beams, ropes, cables and fibers. In this work, the basic methods for cable modelling are summarized and then the complex methodology for the dynamical analysis of such systems is proposed and it is based on the modern finite elements formulation called absolute nodal coordinate formulation (ANCF). Compared with the classical formulation of finite elements, ANCF uses absolute positions of nodes and partial derivatives of these positions with respect to local beam parameters as nodal coordinates. Three most common ANCF beam elements are described, their advantages and disadvantages are pointed out and their elastic forces evaluation procedure focused on the effective calculations is developed. One of the important parts of the thesis is dedicated to the Lagrange equations and to their possible modifications. The contact interaction between bodies is described together with various models of normal contact forces and friction forces. The resultant mechanical system is described by a set of nonlinear differential algebraic equations (DAE) that can be solved in the time domain using various numerical methods. In the work, the Newmark method for DAE is used with the iterative Newton method. The key part of the work is dedicated to the kvazi-Newton method which is very effective from the viewpoint of a computational time. The in-house software implementation of the proposed methods was created in MATLAB environment. In the practical part of the work, the proposed implementation is tested on benchmark problems and then verified using the results of experiments.
