dc.description.abstract-translated | The time of the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent government restrictions, which included a ban on singing in public places and companies, proved to be challenging for choirs in the Czech Republic. When group singing was listed as a high-risk activity that could spread the virus, many choirs had to transfer their choral practices into the virtual space and perform their activities in a novel way. The following survey was initiated by Elvira Gadžijeva from the Department of Music Education at the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice to investigate how the pandemic affected Czech choirs. The authors of this paper contribute to an important research topic related to the disruption of choral activities in the Czech Republic during the global pandemic. It presents the results of a questionnaire survey which was completed by choirs of various types from all over the country | en |
