| Abstract: | Židle Stubus vychází ze základního tvaru válce, ze kterého za pomocí jednoho řezu vzniká bederní sezení. Tělo produktu je vyrobeno z ohýbané dubové překližky. Oproti tomuto materiálu stojí umělý kámen, který zastává roli sedací plochy a plní svojí úlohu nejen po stránce estetické, ale i funkční. Pro komfortnější sezení je možnost využití polstrovaného, odjímatelného sedáku, který je také součástí návrhu. V poslední řadě jsem nad rámec zadání navrhl k sezení Stubus také stojací lampu Stubus. |
| Abstract in different language: | Stubus is a multi-functional piece of furniture; it is a chair in the first place but after only a few simple moves, it can also function as a table, stool or a storage basket.The basic shape of the Stubus chair is a cylinder and using a single cut, you get a lumbar seat. The product body is made of bent oak plywood; the seat itself is made of artificial stone which has not only aesthetic but also functional role. To offer a more comfortable seating, there is an upholstered removable seat cushion which is also a part of the design. I would also like to mention that - although it was not a part of the assignment - I also designed a Stubus floor lamp to go with the Stubus chair. |
