dc.description.abstract-translatedA hyperplastic material model with damage was developed in order to describe the non-linear mechanical behaviour of woven composites. The proposed model is based on thermodynamic principles and considers the additive decomposition of logarithmic strain in accordance with assumed finite strain theory. The damage is modelled using the proposed degradation functions dependent on the relevant elastic strains. This model was implemented into the commercial FEM software Abaqus using UMAT and VUMAT subroutines. Experimental cyclic tensile and compressive static tests were performed on selected woven composites. Mathematical optimization is used for identification of material parameters of the presented model. The capability of the material model was verified by means of experiments on the specimens using geometry that provides a highly complex combination of plasticity and damage states during loading. Strain distributions were experimentally analysed using digital image correlation and the results compared with results from numerical simulations.en
