Abstract in different language: Social Networks is a special way of communicating between people, which is significantly different from the traditional interpersonal communication. The differentiation mainly lies within the certain characteristics that they have. Some of these features are the timelessness of the information, the playback and search capabilities they offer, and the accessibility of the available material. It is noted that, although the development of technology brings to the fore new ways of communication which aim to expand the possibilities of human nature, it is not able to ensure the full integrity of this purpose. It is therefore to be expected that the existence of Social Media has certainly had a positive and negative impact on our daily lives for many different reasons. Τhe purpose of this work is to study the use of social networks in the learning process. Τhe results show that social networks enhance social interaction between students and results in their cognitive development.
