In this document a comparison of three methods of volumetric data gradient vector estimation (one of which was proposed by the authors) and five methods for triangle mesh vertex normal computation will be described and compared. All the methods can be used for regular as well as irregular meshes. The tests were focused primarily on the accuracy. However, a comparison of the temporal requirements of individual methods is included as well.en
