| Abstract: | Tato práce analyzuje využitelnost operačního systému Linux a jemu dostupných programů v prostředí českých základních a středních škol. Představeny jsou některé známe linuxové distribuce, nabídnuty jsou distribuce zaměřené na vzdělávání. Hodnoceny jsou linuxové aplikace, které lze využít jako náhradu programů prostředí Windows. Představeny jsou také zkušenosti některých škol, které Linux ve své infrastruktuře používají. |
| Abstract in different language: | The goal of this thesis is to evaluate the possibility of using the Linux operating system and its additional software packages in the environment of contemporary Czech school as a substitute for the out-of-date Windows system, including (not exclusively) Windows XP and/or Windows Server. Several "classic" and educational Linux distributions are offered for consideration, including their basic description and parameters. The usage of the Linux system is considered both desktop-wise and server-wise. Linux alternatives to the most commonly used Windows programs are presented and described. The experience of schools that use Linux systems as their primary infrastructure operating system is presented. |
