Abstract in different language: This article describes evaluation and application of low cost data acquisition device for selected tasks in electrical power engineering. The first part discusses theoretical and technical limits of NI PCI-6221 DAQ. Following chapter inscribes application for current / voltage measurement and monitoring with focus on high voltage side of AC-DC inverters. Next section deals with power quality measurements respecting the IEC 610000-3-12 and explains limitations of developed utility for this application. The DC measurements on photovoltaic systems explicated on developed SCPI controlled measuring ports switch is introduced in the last paragraph.
