| Abstract: | Tento článek zkoumá kariéru Barry Hannah a pokouší se ukázat, jak Hannah byl ovlivněn modernistou Henrym Millerem, a to jak stylově, tak předmětně. Stejně jako v Miller's Tropic of Cancer (1934) některé z Hannahových děl není úhledně zapadat do žánru fikce nebo memoir. Millerovy autobiografické manévry nám pomohou porozumět Hannahovým ambicím jako spisovatelům v mnoha krizích. |
| Abstract in different language: | This article explores the career of Barry Hannah and attempts to show how Hannah was influenced by modernist Henry Miller, both in terms of style and subject matter. Like Miller’s Tropic of Cancer (1934) some of Hannah’s work does not neatly fit into the genre of fiction or memoir. Miller’s autobiographical maneuvers can help us understand Hannah’s ambitions as a writer at many junctures. |
