| Abstract: | Předkládaná diplomová práce nabízí pohled na Britskou Východoindickou společnost, obchodní korporaci, která se z role monopolního importéra změnila v takřka suverénní mocnost působící na indickém subkontinentu. Vedle okolností týkajících se vlivu společnosti a jejích nezbytných reforem je podstatou této práce především odkaz na svrchovanost Britské Východoindické společnosti s ohledem na její zákonodárnou, výkonnou a soudní moc, vše s přihlédnutím k legislativě dané doby. Pro pochopení kontextu doby je v první části této práce nastíněná historie, převážně vliv evropských imperiálních mocností na vznik a následné formování Britské Východoindické společnosti. |
| Abstract in different language: | This thesis offers a look at the British East India Company, a business corporation that has changed from a monopoly importer to an almost sovereign power operating on the Indian subcontinent. In addition to circumstances relating to the influence of company and its necessary reforms, the focus of this work is primarily a reference to the sovereignty of the British East India Company with regard to its legislative, executive and judicial powers, all taking into account the legislation of that time. To understand the context of the time in the first part of this work is outlined history, mainly the influence of European imperial powers on the emergence and subsequent formation of the British East India Company. |
