Abstract in different language: Introduction. Currently, most of the learning options that are considered traditional are gradually giving way to new forms of learning. The application of new pedagogical technologies is impossible with-out the use of information technology. The use of mobile technologies for teaching various subjects is one of the directions of the modern stage of education informatization.Attention specifically to mobile phones in the context of our research is due precisely to the fact that most students actively use mobile phones, but in most cases aimlessly. We tried to find options for using a mobile phone for educational purposes, namely when learning a foreign language, since in this case most students who want to learn a language will have theopportunity to do this without taking their phone, as mobile phones provide high informative capacity of the material, stimulating cognitive student activity, increasing the visibility of the lesson, the intensity of its lesson, individualization and differentia-tion. All of the above indicates the relevance of the topic of our research. The purpose of the work is to identify the didactic capabilities of mobile devices in the study of a foreign language in high school. The following research methods were used to solve the tasks: theoretical methods (analysis, syn-thesis, generalization) and verbal-communicative (questioning). The decision on the use of a mobile phone at the lesson of a foreign language remains with the teacher. In the course of the study, we were convinced that the modern education process should keep up with the times. Today's students are modern, they actively use information technology outside the walls of schools and in most cases are not systematized and aimless. Therefore, an importantpart of the modern education process is the active use of information technology for educational purposes.
