| Abstract: | Mou bakalářskou prací je autorská ilustrovaná kniha. Ilustrace volně vychází z textu Zjevení Sv. Jana Theologa (Biblí Svatá, 1926). Zvolený text mi pro svou kulturně-historickou kvalitu i kvalitu obraznosti sloužil jako bezedná studnice, ze které jsem mohla čerpat. V knize mezi sebou propojuji různá média, jako je kresba, reliéf na papíře, digitální kresba, informel v šedých vakátech, typografie, knihtisk, 3D objekt v podobě značky a fotografie. Velká část textu v knize se objevuje na knižních záložkách a tím nechává prostor pro vyznění obrazové části. Zároveň tím konfrontuji typografickou tradici s její aktuální podobou. V ilustracích jsem se snažila uchylovat k tichu a statice. Klidu před bouří, kdy se toho zatím moc neděje, ale už cítíme napětí. Začala jsem si pokládat otázky, jak by to asi vypadalo, kdyby apokalypsa nebyla provázena hromy a blesky, ale nečinností a zdánlivým zastavením času? Ilustrace provázejí stále znovu aktualizované téma apokalypsy a snaží se ji uchopit současnýma očima. |
| Abstract in different language: | For my bachelor work I made an illustrated Author's book. The illustrations are based on the text Revelation of St. John the Theologian (Holy Bible, 1926). The chosen text, due to its cultural-historical quality and the quality of imagery, served me as a deep fount of inspiration. In the book, I connect different techniques, such as drawings, reliefs on paper, digital drawings, informals in a gray area, typography, letterpress, 3D object in the form of a road sign and photography. The big part of the text appears on the bookmarks and a large space in the book is left for the pictorial part. With this I confront the typographic tradition with its current form. In the illustrations, I tried to resort to silence and statics. Calm before the storm, when not much is happening yet, but we are already feeling the tension. I started asking myself questions. What would it look like if the apocalypse were not accompanied by thunder and lightning, but by inaction and an apparent stop in time? The illustrations show the constantly updated theme of the apocalypse and try to translate it to the present. |
