EVF is driven with direct electrical current (DC), supplied over arc spot at melt mirror and two bottom non-submerged electrodes. Several cases of time- averaged flow patterns, computed with large eddy simulation (LES) model of turbulence, are discussed: i) electrovortex flow (EVF); ii) melt rotation in external magnetic field; iii) influence of geomagnetic field on EVF. | en |
