Abstract in different language: A steam turbine is a complex device that is part of a turbogenerator. Detailed knowledge of the entire system and its parts is essential to ensure the stability of the machine. One of the most researched sources of forces acting on the rotor is the labyrinth seal. The effect of the labyrinth seal on the stability of the steam turbine is not sufficiently described and there are still many unanswered questions that cannot be answered unambiguously by CFD simulations. Therefore, an experimental test device with a rotor supported by magnetic bearings is proposed. The experimental device makes it possible to maintain the specific shape of the orbit of the rotor and to measure the dynamic forces acting on it. The force is measured by custom piezoelectric transducers located under the magnetic bearing housing. In this paper, the experimental device, the custom force sensor and force calibration are described in more detail.
