Abstract in different language: In this paper, a comparison of flat and hexagonal solar panels is provided. Furthermore, charging using MPPT algorithm is described and its properties in basic tests are analyzed. The end of the paper deals with the description of the designed solution of the street lighting concept in detail. The designed solution is experimentally tested using a form of a fully functional battery powered SSLS prototype.
