| dc.description.abstract | Cílem práce bylo popsat postoje a názory širšího publika na zkoumaný současný sociální fenomén, kterým je populární knižní trilogie Padesát odstínů, a porozumět významům, které v něm nalézají čtenářky, které k němu mají pozitivní vztah. Z tohoto důvodu jsou v práci využity smíšené metody v podobě kvantitativního dotazníkového šetření a kvalitativních individuálních rozhovorů. Výsledky výzkumu prezentují rozdíly ve veřejném obrazu knih a pohledu, který na ně mají samotné čtenářky a popisují názory a postoje respondentů/ek ke zkoumaným knihám a upozorňují na překvapující výsledek v názorech mužů a žen. Tím mimo jiné problematizují chápání kulturních jevů v uzavřených kategoriích jako je vyšší a nižší umění, nebo "ženská literatura". Ve srovnání s výzkumem Janice Radway (1991 [1984], 2007) se ukazuje, že došlo k proměně významu a podoby knih označovaných termínem "ženská literatura". Čtenářkám stále umožňují především odpoutat se od starostí a tlaků běžného života a zároveň jim pomáhají se s životními starostmi vyrovnat. Současně už ale v takové míře nereprodukují tradiční genderový řád, jako klasické romance, a naopak se z nich stává nástroj, který více reflektuje současné společenské trendy a pomáhá genderové stereotypy narušovat, protože přináší nová témata i odlišný způsob zpracování těch stávajících. | cs |

| dc.description.abstract-translated | The aim of the diploma work is to describe attitudes and opinions of general public on the researched current social phenomenon, which is the popular Fifty Shades Trilogy, and to understand its significance for female readers and their positive attitude towards it. Therefore the work uses mixed methods research design in the form of quantitative questionnaire research and qualitative individual discussions. The results of the research show the differences between the public view and the view of the readers themselves. The opinions and attitudes of the respondents towards the researched books are described and draw attention to surprising results in the opinions of men and women. As a result, the problems are occurring in understanding cultural phenomena in closed categories, such as higher and lower art or "women's literature". In comparison with the research of Janice Radway (1991 [1984], 2007), there is a trend towards a change of the importance and appearance of the books described as "women's literature". The books mostly enable their female readers to break away from worries and pressure of the ordinary life and also, in some way, cope with their daily troubles. At the same time the books may no longer produce traditional gender frame, like classical romances, but they are becoming more and more a tool reflecting current social trends and helping to erode gender stereotypes, as the books bring new topics as well as a different way of viewing the topics already published. | en |
