| Abstract: | Tématem této bakalářské práce jsou Americké filmové muzikály a jejich ovlivnění americké popkultury v poválečném období 20. století. Cílem práce je představit filmový muzikál jako rovnocenný filmový žánr, který obohacuje americkou kulturu a zároveň poskytuje informace o americké kultuře a národu. Úvodní část bakalářské práce stručně popisuje historii žánru od jeho počátků ve 20. letech minulého století až po současnost a nastiňuje další možný vývoj tohoto specifického filmového žánru. Hlavní část práce je zaměřena na vliv amerických filmových muzikálů na americkou kulturu a na odraz významných historických a sociálních událostí v amerických muzikálech. Poznatky jsou podloženy analýzou pěti konkrétních amerických muzikálů, které byly vybrány s ohledem na jejich kulturní význam. |
| Abstract in different language: | The topic of the Bachelor's thesis is American film musicals and their impact on American pop culture in the 20th century post-war era. Its objective is to present film musical as an equal film genre which both enriches American popular culture and provides relevant cultural information about the United States of America and American nation. The introductory part of the thesis explains a brief history of the genre from the very beginnings in the 1920s up to the recent years and outlines the possible future of the film musical. The main body of the thesis deals with the impact of film musicals on American culture and describes the influence of significant historic and social breakthroughs on the film genre itself. The original research is supported by the analysis of five film musicals selected with regard to American popular culture. |
