| Abstract: | Cílem této práce je zjistit, jestli existuje prokazatelný vliv významných sportovních akcí na akciové trhy. Zkoumané sportovní události jsou: FIFA World Cup, UEFA Euro a Olympijské hry. Jejich možný vliv je zkoumán zvlášť pro akciové trhy zúčastněných zemí a pro akcie společností sponzorujících tyto sportovní události. V práci je použito více způsobů analýzy včetně statistického testování. Práce popisuje také vytvoření obchodního modelu pro investici do akcií podle získaných výsledků a následné ověření modelu na historických datech. |
| Abstract in different language: | The aim of this work is to determine whether major sporting events have a significant influence on the stock markets. The sporting events examined are: FIFA World Cup, UEFA European Championship, and the Olympic Games. The influence of these events is separately evaluated for the stock markets of the host and participating countries and for the stocks of sponsor companies. The work combines multiple analytic methods, including statistical tests. The work also describes the construction of an investment model based on the results of the analysis; the model is then fitted to historical data. |
