| cs |

dc.description.abstract-translated | In this study, we examined the development of US National Security Strategies after the Cold War. We tried to analyze how the US NSS responded to the threat of global terrorism after the end of the Cold War. Overall, we can say that the interpretation of global terrorism in the most important strategic documents in the USA - NSS is related to several factors. Perhaps the most important factor is the international context and the period in which is the NSS of USA issued. Interpretation of terrorism in the NSS has not really changed in response to terrorist attacks. But urgency of perception of the terrorism threat has changed. We noticed that at a time when there are other incidents in the international system - as it was in 1989 - the terrorism was perceived as a secondary topic. On the contrary at a time when there are more frequent terrorist attacks and their intensity becomes very strong, the urgency of terrorism in NSS of USA, or in other strategic documents, is far more urgent. | en |
