| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se zabývá vybranými matematickými konstantami. Konkrétně se jedná o Pythagorovu konstantu (druhá odmocnina ze dvou), tzv. zlatý řez, Eulerovo číslo a hodnotu ln(2). V práci je popsána historie těchto konstant, jejich vlastnosti (například iracionalita nebo transcendence) a vliv na matematiku. Část práce je věnována výpočtům v matematickém softwaru Mathematica 8.0. V rámci jednotlivých konstant je též popsána jejich souvislost se školskou matematikou a praktické užití těchto konstant v běžném životě. |
| Abstract in different language: | This thesis deals with selected mathematical constants. Especially Pythagoras' constant the square root of 2, Golden mean, Euler's number and ln(2). The study examines the history of these mathematical constants, their properties (for example irrationality or transcendentality) and their influence on mathematics. Part of this thesis is devoted to the mathematical computation in Mathematica 8.0. Other chapters are focused on links with mathematics in schools. Part of this thesis is also devoted to finding practical uses mathematical constants in everyday life. |
