Abstract: | Tato práce se věnuje ab-initio simulacím binárních, ternárních a vybraných kvaternárních nitridů přechodových kovů skupin IV B a V B (Ti, Zr, Hf, V, Nb, Ta). |
Abstract in different language: | This thesis is focused on ab-initio simulations of binary, ternary and selected quaternary transition metal nitrides of IV B a V B groups (Ti, Zr, Hf, V, Nb, Ta). In particular, formation energies, electronic structures and elastic properties were calculated. Results obtained for binary nitrides are compared with those of other authors. For ternary and quaternary nitrides, relationships between (i) formation energies and elastic properties of materials and (ii) electronegativity and atomic radius of the corresponding metal elements are presented. A special attention is paid to the influence of tantalum on stabilization of the solid solutions. Results presented in this work offer coherent data that can be used for selecting materials with tailored properties for specific applications or further theoretical and experimental research. |
