| Abstract: | Cílem práce je podrobně zmapovat utváření urbánního prostoru v kontextu dvou ubytoven v Plzni. Ubytovny jsou v této práci vnímány jako jeden z doprovodných znaků socio-kulturních stratifikačních změn ve vývoji současných měst. Text se vypořádává se základními otázkami: (a) jaký vliv mají konkrétní zařízení na tvář městského prostoru a (b) jak je prostor v kontextu těchto ubytoven utvářen? Práce je teoreticky zakotvena v relačním pojetí prostoru. Základní předpoklad je prostý: prostor per se je výsledkem vztahů mezi místy, která představují dynamické asambláže. Analýza tvorby prostoru se opírá o terénní výzkum s kombinací kvalitativních a geografických metod. Kvalitativní údaje byly mapovány v geografickém informačním systému. Výsledné modely zachycují tvorbu prostoru, jednotlivých míst, které staly se předmětem detailního rozboru. |
| Abstract in different language: | The main aim of this diploma thesis is to provide the map and detailed description of the very creation of the urban space, especially in the context of two worksite accommodations in Pilsen (Czechia). This type of accommodation is generally perceived as one of the essential features of socio-cultural stratification changes in the development of contemporary central European cities. The text deals with following fundamental questions: (a) what influence do these particular places have on the concrete image and infrastructure of urban space, and (b) how is the space in the context of these worksite accommodations shaped? The diploma thesis is theoretically and methodologically embedded in the so-called relational concept of space. The basic assumption is plain: space per se is the result of relations between places that represent dynamic assemblages. The analysis of space creation is based upon field research(s) which combine qualitative and geographical methods. Qualitative data were mapped in a geographic information system. The resulting models encapsulate the very creation of space and, subsequently, the individual places that became the subjects of detailed analysis. |
