Abstract in different language: | The thesis is focused on the depiction of Prague and the Czech Republic in tourism-related publications for British and American tourists. In the theoretical part, it briefly introduces the basic terms associated with tourism (tourism, tourist, resident, visitor, etc.) and the history of tourism. The next part of the thesis analyses the publications published for these groups of tourists in the Czech Republic. The following part consists of an analysis of British and American publications devoted to these groups of tourists. The thesis also points out problems that arise due to the high concentration of tourism in some places. It shows how British and American tourists perceive the Czech Republic and how this perception is changed after their visit. In the final chapter, the linguistic analysis of selected texts from British and American publications is made. |
