| Abstract: | Tato diplomová práce se zabývá diskuzí věnující se roli občanské společnosti v moderních Spojených státech amerických. Představuje jak názory vlivných a populárních akademiků, kteří v občanské společnosti viděli lék na problémy moderních Spojených států, tak kritickou reakci jejich kolegů, kteří tyto teze považovali za naivní a nerealistické. Důraz je kladen na koncept Špatné občanské společnosti, který z této plodné debaty vyplynul. |
| Abstract in different language: | This master thesis deals with a discussion concerning the role of civil society in the modern United States of America. It introduces the theses of influential and popular academics that regarded civil society as a solution to the problems of modern USA and also the critical reaction of their colleagues, which saw these theses as naive and unrealistic. Emphasis is put on the concept of Bad civil society, which emerged from this fruitful discussion. |
