Abstract in different language: | When we thought about how we could help improve and save the lives of bees, we decided to make an insect house that we could place anywhere in the garden, park or city park. Our goal was to bring the insects closer to humans. In recent years, insects have almost completely disappeared from the vicinity of people, so with our insect house we try to return insects or bees closer to us. Bees that are needed to drunk trees and plants so that we can get fruits from them as for our food. At the beginning of the production, we drew what our insect house would look like. It occurred to us that we could start from a shape that is very close to bees. We chose hexagon as our shape, because honeycombs have this shape. The product is made mainly of natural materials, which we can find all around us, especially from the forest. Nowadays, 3D printing is very modern, so we decided to use this new modern production technology. At first we thought we would make an insect house hanging that we could hang on the house or on tree branches. The insect house is open on both sides so that it is accessible from both directions. The fillings are made of natural materials such as cones, branches, wood fibers, walnut shells and spruce logs. To fill the hold in hexagons, we used zinc mesh. For the stability of the insect house, we designed our own model of a handle for wooden legs. The handles are made using 3D printing. For verification, we used an insect house, which we have had in our own garden for several years, so we start from our own experience that they really move into the insect house and can survive the long winter months. In the spring, they lay eggs and their genus grows in an insect house. We think it's great to make an insect house with kids in elementary school. We can place the manufactured house in the school garden, where the children will watch the bees take care of the trees and bring life to the school garden |
