Abstract: | Tato práce zkoumala mezigenerační přenos řešení partnerských konfliktů a hypotézu, zda se strategie řešení konfliktů přenáší z generace na generaci. |
Abstract in different language: | The aim of this study was to map the situation in the field of intergenerational transfer of solutions to partner conflicts and to answer the hypothesis of whether conflict resolution strategies are transferred from generation to generation. A mixed data collection strategy was chosen as the research strategy. The quantitative part consisted of an online survey, with adulthood being the only criterion for participation. The qualitative part was conducted through semi-structured interviews with psychotherapists from different parts of the Czech Republic who have experience in dealing with partner and parental conflicts. One interesting finding was that while many authors list specific topics in partner conflicts, therapists generally summarize these topics as communication problems. The study also found many important pieces of information about the transfer of conflict resolution strategies. There is a wealth of professional articles, books, and research that clearly confirm the negative emotional impact of parental conflicts on children, disrupting their emotional attachment, among other things. The study concluded that intergenerational transfer of partner conflict resolution strategies is not a certainty, but it is still a relatively common phenomenon. People often learn from their parents' experiences, which influence their own ways of solving conflicts with their partners. Although the qualitative part of the research suggested that intergenerational transfer does occur, the results of the quantitative survey showed that only 36 % of respondents had the same conflict resolution strategy as both parents or one of them. Overall, the study provides important insights into the complex issue of intergenerational transfer of conflict resolution strategies. |
