| Abstract: | Bakalářská práce pojednává o geopolitickém významu škrtících bodů se zaměřením na Suezský průplav. Kapitola 1 popisuje škrtící body v obecnosti, tedy pojem a význam tohoto termínu. Následující podkapitola 1.1 se zabývá dělením škrtících bodů s ohledem na skutečnost, že nemusíme tento termín chápat pouze ve smyslu námořních škrtících bodů. V dalších podkapitolách se teoretická část práce zaměřuje již jen na námořní škrtící body. Podkapitola 1.2 se zaměřuje na správu námořních škrtících bodů, tedy jakými právně závaznými dokumenty je fungování těchto vodních zúžení upraveno. Poslední podkapitola 1.3 zakončuje teoretickou část práce popisem významu škrtících bodů pro obchod, námořní dopravu a bezpečnost. Kapitola 2 a její podkapitoly se zaměřují již jen na jeden konkrétní námořní škrtící bod, jímž je Suezský průplav. Ve své podkapitole 2.1 se práce věnuje správě a právnímu rámci fungování Suezského průplavu. Podkapitola 2.2 se zaměřuje na význam Suezského průplavu pro regionální a světový obchod v období od jeho otevření v roce 1869 až do roku 2019. V podkapitole 2.2.1 je popsán vliv uzavření Suezského průplavu na regionální a světový obchod v důsledku tří významných událostí. Poslední podkapitola 2.3 se zaměřuje na význam Suezského průplavu pro bezpečnost. Závěr práce představuje výsledky zkoumání. |
| Abstract in different language: | The bachelor's thesis discusses the geopolitical significance of chokepoints with a focus on the Suez Canal. Chapter 1 describes choke points in general, i.e. the concept and meaning of this term. The following sub-chapter 1.1 deals with the division of choke points with regard to the fact that we do not have to understand this term only in the sense of maritime choke points. In the following subsections, the theoretical part of the work focuses only on maritime choke points. Subchapter 1.2 focuses on the administration of maritime choke points, i.e. which legally binding documents govern the functioning of these water bottlenecks. The last sub-chapter 1.3 concludes the theoretical part of the work by describing the importance of chokepoints for trade, maritime transport and security. Chapter 2 and its sub-chapters focus on just one particular maritime choke point, which is the Suez Canal. In its sub-chapter 2.1, the thesis deals with the administration and legal framework of the operation of the Suez Canal. Subchapter 2.2 focuses on the significance of the Suez Canal for regional and world trade in the period from its opening in 1869 to 2019. Subchapter 2.2.1 describes the impact of the closure of the Suez Canal on regional and world trade as a result of three significant events. The last subsection 2.3 focuses on the importance of the Suez Canal for security. The conclusion of the thesis presents the results of the investigation. |
