| Abstract: | Tato kvalifikační práce se zabývá identifikací a interpretací tématu fenoménu smrti ve výtvarném umění středověké Evropy. Časově je práce ohraničena obdobím středověku, přičemž hlavní časově rozpětí se pohybuje mezi 11. a 16. stoletím. V rámci kulturně historického vývoje je zmíněn i vývoj ikonografie v období antiky a ranného středověku. Pozornost se zaměřuje především na identifikaci jednotlivých zobrazení, vývoj námětů a genezi ikonografie. Dále se práce věnuje námětu "Tance smrti". Práce je zaměřená i na seznámení s historickým vývojem a dobovými okolnostmi, které pomáhají reflektovat smýšlení středověkého člověka v rámci tématu smrti v umění. |
| Abstract in different language: | This thesis deals with the identification and interpretation of the theme of death in the visual art of medieval Europe. Temporally, the work is delimited to the medieval period, with the main timeframe ranging from the 11th to the 16th century. Within the context of cultural-historical development, the evolution of iconography in the ancient and early medieval periods is also mentioned. Attention is primarily focused on identifying individual representations, the development of themes, and the genesis of iconography. Furthermore, the thesis explores the subject of the "Dance of Death." The work also delves into acquainting the reader with the historical development and contemporary circumstances that help reflect the medieval mindset regarding the theme of death in art. |
