| Abstract: | Cílem diplomové práce je analýza postoje knížete Metternicha k německému nacionalismu a současně pokus o přehodnocení tradičního černobílého vnímání Metternichovy politiky vůči německému národnímu hnutí, který je dle nejnovějších poznatků zahraničních badatelů neudržitelný. Práce je zaměřena především na Metternichův postoj k jednotlivým projevům německého nacionalismu v době předbřeznové, to znamená v letech 1815 až 1848. |
| Abstract in different language: | The aim of this Master's thesis is to analyze Austrian Chancellor Metternich's attitude to the German nationalism and to reassess the traditional black-and-white perception of his policy towards the German national movement. According to latest findings by foreign scholars, such a perception is unsustainable. The thesis is mainly focused on Metternich's attitude to individual expressions of German nationalism during the Vormärz period (between 1815-1848). |
