| Abstract: | Tato studie je zaměřena na ženy, které se rozhodly rodit v době přesunu porodů z domácností do porodnic. Zaměřuje se na prožívání těhotenství a porodu matek, které rodily jak doma tak v porodnici. Cílem práce bylo zjistit, jak ženy vnímaly medikalizaci porodů a jaké významy tomu přisuzovaly. Práce se zabývá zejména počátky institucionalizované porodní péče a konceptem medikalizace. Pozornost je věnována vymezení a praxi přesunu porodů z domácností do nemocnic v 50. až 60. letech 20. století. |
| Abstract in different language: | This study is aimed at women who had chosen to give birth at the time of transfering births at homes to the hospitals. The thesis is focused on how the women felt during going through pregnancy and giving birth at home or in the hospital. The objective was to find out how the women perceive the medicalization of giving birth and what meanings they attributed to it. The thesis deals mainly with the beginnings of institutionalized obstetric care and the concept of birth medicalisation. Attention is paid to the defining and the moving of giving birth from the households to the hospitals in 50´s and 60´s of the 20th century. |
