| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se věnuje zpracování obrazu středověkého a raně novověkého mezopotámského centra Mosulu. K seznámení s jednotlivými objekty bylo využito popisů z cestovatelských deníků cestovatelů západního světa z 16. až počátku 20. století. Poznatky získané z těchto pramenů byly doplněny historicko-archeologickou literaturou. Výsledkem je zmapování vývoje a podoby města během několika století. |
| Abstract in different language: | This diploma thesis is dedicated to composing the image of medieval and early modern Mosul during the 16th-19th century. Descriptions from the set of travelogues of European travelers from the 16th to 19th century are used for closer look to the different objects in the city. Informations gained from these sources are combined with historical and archaeological literature. Mapping of the development and the image of the city during several centuries is the main aim of this thesis. |
