| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na situaci v Japonsku v polovině 19. století. Cílem práce je poskytnout ucelený pohled na události vedoucí ke konci tokugawského šógunátu a následnou restauraci Meidži. Tato práce také přibližuje okolnosti, které vedly k přijetí a posléze ukončení japonského izolacionismu. Součástí je rovněž analýza vzájemného soužití Japonců a cizinců ze Západu po otevření země. |
| Abstract in different language: | This master thesis is focused on the situation in Japan in the mid 19th century. The aim of this study is to provide a comprehensive view on the events leading to the downfall of the Tokugawa shogunate and the subsequent Meiji Restoration. This study also deals with the circumstances that led to the adoption, and then to the termination of the Japanese isolationism. This study also includes an analysis of coexistence of the Japanese and foreigners from the West after the opening of the country. |
