| Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá testováním a vylepšením metod na bázi lokálních binárních vzorů (LBP) v úloze rozpoznávání obličejů. Práce nejdříve teoreticky popisuje jednotlivé fáze procesu rozpoznávání a také princip fungování obrazového deskriptoru LBP. Na jeho základě jsou dále navrženy a implementovány dva nové způsoby získávání binárních vzorů z obrazových dat. Součástí práce je vytvořena aplikace pro experimentální testování navržených metod s využitím knihovny OpenCV. Pro testování je převážně využívána obličejová databáze České tiskové kanceláře (ČTK) společně s databází FERET. Předmětem experimentů je ověření funkčnosti metod a zároveň určení vhodných parametrů pro co nejlepší úspěšnost rozpoznávání. Výsledky experimentů jsou zhodnoceny a porovnány s výsledky jiných referenčních metod. Nově navržené metody překonaly referenční metodu LBP na obou testovaných databázích a pro databázi ČTK byla dosažena nová maximální úspěšnost. Metody rozpoznávání jsou dále testovány v úloze rozpoznávání textur. |
| Abstract in different language: | This bachelor thesis deals with testing and enhancing methods based on Local Binary Patterns (LBP) in the face recognition task. The thesis theoretically describes the individual phases of recognition and the functioning principle of the LBP image descriptor. In addition, based on the LBP there are suggested and implemented two new methods for obtaining binary patterns from image data. An important part of the thesis is an application created for experimental testing of the proposed methods with the use of OpenCV library. For the testing part there was used the new face database Czech News Agency (ČTK) together with the FERET database. The subject of the experiments is the verification of the functionality of the methods and defining suitable parameters for high recognition success rate. The experiment results are evaluated and compared to results of other reference methods. The newly proposed methods outperformed the LBP reference method in both tested databases and new maximum success rate has been obtained for the database ČTK. The recognition methods are tested in the task of texture recognition. |
