| Abstract: | Idea univerzit třetího věku (U3V) se od vzniku ve Francii v roce 1973 rozšířila prakticky do všech rozvinutých zemí světa. U3V se staly významným nástrojem pro systematické vzdělávání seniorů, a právě poznávání vesmíru je přitom nezanedbatelně zastoupeno jak ve světě, tak i u nás. U3V organizují všechny naše veřejné vysoké školy (22), v roce 2016/2017 realizovaly na 1400 dvou a více semestrálních kurzů pro 54 000 posluchačů. Astronomické kurzy jsou v současnosti nabízeny na nejméně sedmi z těchto univerzit a zájem o ně roste. U3V tak představují vynikající potenciální možnosti pro systematické déle dobé vzdělávání starší generace v astronomii |
| Abstract in different language: | Since the beginning in France in 1973, the idea of the Universities of the Third Age (U3A or UTA) expanded to almost all developed countries of the world. U3A became an important tool for a systematic education of seniors, and problems of exploring the Universe rank among the most significant topics. In the Czech Republic, U3A are organized at all 22 public universities, what represents about 1400 two or more semestral courses for 54000 senior students in 2016/17. At present, astronomy is studied at 7 universities, and the interests to participate in the courses is growing on. U3A thus give an excellent opportunity for systematic long-term senior education in astronomy. |
