Abstract in different language: | The topic of the diploma thesis is The Citizenship in Ancient Political Culture. The thesis analyzes and subsequently compares the status of Athenian citizenship and the excluded persons from it during the reign of the strategist Pericles. The first part of the thesis focuses on the citizen, on his social, religious and political life. The second part of the thesis examines unmarried persons excluded from citizenship. Specifically, it is about a woman and a metoic and their position in society, possibilities, rights and obligations. According to the comparison, the status of a citizen and the status of unmarried excluded persons may not be so different however, it depends from which point of view we look at them, or more precisely, which particular forms of status. Moreover, the concept of the chosen and the excluded is still relevant and it is a certain process in which only the research subjects change. |
