| Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá srovnáním studentů geografie na vysoké škole a jejich úspěšností v mapových dovednostech, které se týkají především interpretace výškopisu. Cílem práce je identifikace nejčastějších miskoncepcí při čtení, analýze, interpretaci a tvorbě výškopisu studenty. Podkladem pro tuto práci je závěrečná práce Peterkové (2019), která vytvořila konceptuální test zabývající se odhalením studentských miskoncepcí v problematice výškopisu. Teoretická část popisuje témata zabývající se topografickou mapou, zobrazením výškopisu a mapovými dovednostmi. Dále také definuje pojmy prekoncepce a miskoncepce a rozebírá problematiku konceptuálního testu a testů s mírou jistoty. Srovnání studentů a jejich úspěšnost byla zjišťována pomocí testování, které probíhalo u studentů FPE a FEK Západočeské univerzity v Plzni formou konceptuálního testu. Výsledek tohoto výzkumu ukázal, že chlapci jsou v tomto testu úspěšnější než dívky. Studenti ze středních odborných škol jsou úspěšnější než studenti z Gymnázií. Studenti z FEK jsou mírně úspěšnější, ale mají nižší míru jistoty v odpovědích. Nejvíce úspěšnou mapovou dovedností byla tvorba mapy. Výsledky byly následně analyzovány a statisticky zpracovány do grafů a tabulek. Nedílnou součástí práce je vyhodnocení a diskuze výsledků. |
| Abstract in different language: | This bachelor thesis focuses on comparing students of geography at the university and their succes rate in map skills, particularly in the interpretation of topography. The aim of this work is to identify the most common misconceptions among students when reading, analyzing, interpreting and creating hypsography. The basis for this study is the master thesis by Peterková (2019), who created a conceptual test aimed at uncovering student misconceptions in hypsography. The theoretical part describes topics related to topographic maps, elevation representation, and map skills. It also defines the concepts of preconception and misconception and discusses the issues of conceptual testing and certainty based tests. The comparison of students and their proficiency was found out using a testing method, which was administered to students of the Faculty of Economy and the Faculty of Education at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen through a conceptual test. The results of this research showed that boys are more successful in this test than girls. Students of secondary technical school are more successful than students of grammar school. Students of Faculty of Economy are a little more successful but have lower level of certainty in their answers. Map creating was the most successful map skill. The results were then analyzed and statistically processed into graphs and tables. The evaluation and discussion of the results are integral parts of the thesis. |
