| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na komparaci povstaleckých strategií v rámci asymetrických konfliktů ve Vietnamu a v Afghánistánu. Oba konflikty bývají prezentovány jako explicitní případy asymetrických válek, ve kterých povstalci dokáží vzdorovat silnějšímu nepříteli. Cílem práce je objasnit, zda se povstalecká strategie mezi oběma konflikty změnila. Analytický rámec je založený na teorii asymetrických konfliktů a vojenské strategii s důrazem na povstaleckou strategii. |
| Abstract in different language: | This thesis focuses on the comparison of insurgent strategies in asymmetric warfare in Vietnam and Afghanistan. Both wars are presented as explicit cases of asymmetric conflicts in which insurgents managed to resist a much stronger enemy. Aim of the thesis is to clarify whether the insurgent strategy has changed between these two conflicts. The analytical framework is based on the theories of war, military strategy and asymmetric conflicts with an emphasis on insurgency and guerrilla strategy. |
