| Abstract: | Tématem této bakalářské práce jsou integrační procesy na Blízkém východě, konkrétně se zaměřuji na příčiny úspěchů a neúspěchů jedné regionální organizace - Ligy arabských států (LAS). Práce se skládá z teoretické a empirické části. V teoretické části se věnuji regionální integraci a jejími vlivu na udržování míru. V empirické části se zabývám okolnostmi vzniku, členskou základnou, cíli, strukturou a fungováním LAS. Následně se zaměřuji na konflikty na Blízkém východě a na zapojení Ligy do řešení těchto konfliktů v období let 1945-1991. Cílem této práce je zhodnotit úspěšnost spolupráce LAS v oblasti kolektivní bezpečnosti a řešení konfliktů v období let 1945-1991. |
| Abstract in different language: | The theme of this bachelor thesis is Middle East Integration, particularly with a focus on causes of successes and failures of one regional organisation - The League of Arab states (LAS). The thesis is divided into theoretical and empirical part. In the theoretical part, I deal with regional integration and its impact on promoting peace. The empirical part is concerned with formation, membership, objectives, structure and functioning of the LAS. Subsequently, I focus on conflicts in the Middle East and the involvement of the LAS in resolution of these conflicts in the period of years 1945-1991. The goal of this thesis is to evaluate the success of the cooperation of the LAS in conflict resolution and collective security in the Middle East in the period of years 1945-1991. |
