| Abstract: | Práce se zabývá především socioekonomickými faktory, které mohou ovlivňovat olympijskou úspěšnost. Dále sumarizuje výsledky a analyzuje sportovní úspěšnost států amerického kontinentu na letních olympijských hrách od roku 2000 do současnosti, tedy za 6 uplynulých letních her. Olympijské výsledky států jsou hodnoceny celkově za medailová umístění ze všech sportovních disciplín, a i zvlášť za prvních 8 umístění v atletických soutěžích, a to jak v absolutních, tak i v relativních hodnotách ve vztahu k velikosti populace a k ekonomické výkonnosti státu. Výsledky jsou doprovázeny tabulkovými, grafovými a mapovými výstupy. |
| Abstract in different language: | The thesis focuses mainly on socio-economic factors that may influence Olympic success. It also summarizes the results and analyzes the sports success rate of the countries of the American continent at the Summer Olympic Games from 2000 to the present, i.e. for the past six Summer Games. The Olympic performance of the states is evaluated overall for medal placements in all sports events. Also separately for the top eight placements in athletics disciplines, both in absolute values and relative values with the size of the population and the economic power of the state. The results are accompanied by tabular, graphical, and map outputs. |
