| Abstract: | Spojené státy americké a jejich obyvatelé jsou častým cílem násilných útoků. Události z 11. září 2001 se ale staly historickým milníkem. Cílem této práce je zachytit proměnu chápání terorismu v oficiálních dokumentech Spojených států amerických v souvislosti s událostmi z 11. září 2001 a zachytit, jak tato proměna vedla k přijetí mimořádných zahraničněpolitických opatření. |
| Abstract in different language: | The United States of America and its inhabitants are frequently targets of violent attacks. However, the events of September 11, 2001 has become a historical milestone. The aim of this diploma thesis is to capture the transformation of understanding terrorism in the official documents of the United States in connection with the events of 11 September 2001 and describe, how this change led to the extraordinary foreign policy measures. |
