Abstract: | Práce vykládá alegorický obsah díla perského básníka Faríduddína Attára - Mantiq at-Tajr. |
Abstract in different language: | The text focuses on one of the major works of a persian sufi poet, Farid ud-din Attar - Mantiq at-Tayr. The content briefly follows the structure of Attar?s text. Inner fables are mentioned when necessary, but the main attention is being paid to its two major plot lines: a) introduction of individual birds and b) the symbolic meaning of a journey through the Seven valleys. The whole work is based on english translations by Dick Davis, Afkham Darbandi and Peter Avery. |
