| Abstract: | Práce se zabývá vznikem nacionalismu u etiopské populace Oromů a jeho projevy v moderní Etiopii. Popisuje historii Oromů a také faktory, které ovlivnily a umožnily vznik pan-oromské identity. Ukazuje životní postavení Oromů v Etiopii za vlády Haile Selassieho i po ustavení republiky. Věnuje se také některým současným problémům etiopského státu. |
| Abstract in different language: | This bacherlor thesis deals with rise of Oromo nationalism and its manifestations in modern Ethiopia. It describes history of the Oromo people and factors, which influenced the birth of pan-oromian identity. The work shows social status of Oromo people under the rule of Haile Selassie and during the republic of Ethiopia. There are also described some contemporary issues of Ethiopian state. |
